ARCASIA AWARDS 2005–2006 Announcement and Material submission requirement

Entries are invited for a total of eight ARCASIA Awards for Architecture 2005–2006. i.e. one in each of the following categories.

CATEGORY A: RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS

Category A-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS Single, Individual units
Category A-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL COMPLEXES Multi-storey Units, Apartments, Flats, Mass Housing, Low Income, Settlements etc.

CATEGORY B: PUBLIC AMENITY BUILDINGS

Category B-1 PUBLIC AMENITY: COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS Office Buildings, Shopping Centres, etc.
Category B-2 PUBLIC AMENITY: RESORT BUILDINGS Resorts, Leisure Building, Hotels, etc.
Category B-3 PUBLIC AMENITY: SOCIAL/INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS Institutional & Religious Buildings, Schools, Hospitals, Health Care Facilities, Community Centers, etc.
Category B-4 SPECIALIZED BUILDINGS Sports Complexes, Stadium, Airports, etc.

CATEGORY C: INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS

INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS Facilities, Warehouses, etc.

CATEGORY D: CONSERVATION PROJECTS

CONSERVATION PROJECTS
Restoration, Adaptive Re-use, Projects which conserve or restore the Architectural Heritage of Asian countries

IIA can submit 13 entries. Members in good standing desirous of submitting entries for selection at IIA shall write for entry forms etc. to the Jt. Hon. Secretary, IIA or can download the same from IIA website. All entries shall be of projects that have been completed and are fully in operation for at least 2 years prior to 30 June 2005. It is important to note that entries for the Awards will have to reach IIA Head Office at Prospect Chambers Annexe, Dr. D.N. Road, Fort, Mumbai – 400001, latest by 18 August 2005. The Members whose projects are selected to be sent to ARCASIA may have to submit further details if asked for before sending the entries to ARCASIA for the Jury to be held at Thailand alongwith ARCASIA Forum 13.
